This Herbal Ear Rinse for dogs is formulated with purified water, cider vinegar, aloe vera, calendula, witch hazel, olive leaf, certified organic goldenseal and vegetable glycerin. Apply once per day until the ears are clean and then use as needed, perhaps once or twice per week. You can apply by squirting into the ear to get deeper into the ear (you will get some head shaking) or by applying to cotton pads first. You can use both Q-tips and cotton pads to help clean out the folds of the ears. You generally do not have to worry so much about damaging the eardrum, as with a human ear, because a canine eardrum is harder to reach. But you don't want to dig around deeply in the ear too roughly, so save the majority of the Q-tip usage for the upper folds. The Herbal Ear Rinse can irritate broken skin, so if your dog's ears have been scratched and are irritated use the Sovereign Silver first. If there is an infection two Cell Salts can help - Calc Sulph #3 and Silica #12.
