I am glad to hear that you are getting started with the recommended supplements for a dog with degenerative myelopathy! The Bovine Cartilage supplement that you are enquiring about contains type II cartilage which provides nutrition for cartilage and other types of connective tissue. So, it is very helpful to support joint health and other areas of the body if that is your goal, but specifically for a dog with DM I think there are better choices. I would consider adding in the Elk Velvet Antler which contains nutrients for joint health, but also important growth factors that have shown an ability to increase vitality in debilitated/older animals. I would also consider adding in some natural cell salts for cellular nutrition for nerve cells. Consider the Kali Phos #6 which is an important nerve nutrient and if your budget allows add in the Mag Phos #8 and the Silica #12.
