Yes, the Daily Multi Plus is perfectly fine to use along with Pantenex and provides a variety or digestive enzymes not found in the Pantenex. For those unfamiliar with Pantenex, it is a porcine (animal)-based enzyme formula typically recommended for those pets that suffer with EPI (exocrine pancreatic insufficiency). The Pantenex is fine to use for your dog's EPI and could be perfectly helpful. However, we don't typically recommend the use of porcine-based enzymes due to the unsanitary conditions under which pigs are raised and kept. In addition, animal-based enzymes are typically damaged by the stomach's acidity, whereas the plant-based enzymes we use in the Daily Multi Plus are more resilient. Lastly, unlike plant-based enzymes that support normal enzyme production, using animal-based enzymes like those in Pantenex, have the potential to interfere with the pancreas's normal production of digestive enzymes so they shouldn't be used daily. Of course, EPI is a different story compared with normal everyday use of an enzyme supplement for a healthy pet, because in the case of EPI the dog's pancreas is not functioning properly.
