For the Systemic Enzymes you don't want to use solid foods because you don't want these "systemic" enzymes to work on digesting food, but instead to enter the bloodstream. What we use for our own dogs is organic coconut oil. We place a little on the tip of a spoon. We then place the enzyme(s) in the coconut oil and fold it over so the enzyme(s) is inside. We then just hand it to our dogs and they take it and swallow it. The coconut oil can be replaced with apple sauce, pumpkin or other treat food. Try to stay away from proteins though like canned pet food because we want the proteases from the enzymes to work on the body not the proteins in the meat. Lastly, these capsules are a very small size for pets, but we don't want your dog to choke so make sure swallowing a small capsule is okay for your tiny dog.
