Yes, since Buck Mountain Botanicals does use alcohol extraction for their Lepsilyte remedy it does have a stronger taste/smell. For some dogs you can place this herbal remedy directly in their food. However, there is a concern they may not then eat their meals so you have to try and see. Another way to provide this remedy is mixing into a small amount of favorite treat food prior to a meal, perhaps organic yogurt, apple sauce, pumpkin or a tasty canned pet food. The suggested dosage is 1 ml (or cc) per 40 lbs (adjust for your dog's weight), 3 - 4x daily depending on the severity of the condition. Perhaps start with twice daily AM & PM and see how that works and then add in additional dosages during the day if needed. You need a graduated dropper or syringe from a local pharmacy or you can ask us to send a dropper in the "notes" section when you place an order.
