Feline eosinophilic granuloma is most often related to an underlying allergic condition. This can be related to diet or environmental like flea bites. Vaccinations are often a cause of skin dermatitis conditions as vaccines hyper stimulate the immune system. Cats can be very sensitive to vaccines so a limited vaccine protocol should be used - only vaccines that are absolutely necessary like the required rabies, not yearly boosters. If the condition continues you can also ask your veterinarian for an exemption from the rabies vaccine due to your cat's condition. I would first recommend a whole food diet. Cats do very well on a raw food diet and not so well on dry, kibble cat foods. We have some suggestions in our article How to Feed Your Cat. Consider our Daily Multi Plus to improve the overall health of your cat and our Allergy Blend to help promote a healthier immune reaction to allergens. Sprinkle our Daily Oral Care on top of her food to help improve the health of her gums. Lastly, purchase some organic calendula flowers to make a tea. Apply this tea to your cat's inflamed areas - gums included. I am glad to see that you held off on the steroids as these would make matters worse and create a chronic condition.
