Yes, I feel that Astragalus Root would be useful for your dog. Astragalus can be strengthening and balancing for the spleen. As a bonus astragalus root can be very supportive of the lungs as well and help to repair lung tissue. I would also recommend the Systemic Enzymes to help support both your dog's immune system and lungs. My only concern is that systemic enzymes help to clean out excess fibrin and can thin the blood making it healthier. However, if there is a concern that your dog's spleen has the potential to burst, then this would cause internal bleeding and this should be taken into consideration before using the enzymes. Two natural cell salts called calc fluor #1 and ferrum phos #4 can help to reduce inflammation and keep lung tissue flexible and may also be helpful.
