Our Lion's Mane Mushroom powder is comprised of mycelium (root-like structure of fine filaments) and fruiting body. I understand that your question is wondering how much of the mushroom powder is comprised of the media on which it is grown. The answer to this question is that the amount od media left in the mushroom powder is negligible. This is because as the mushrooms grow the mycelium secretes enzymes that break down the growth media and it is used as food for the mushroom itself. The overwhelming majority of the media is broken down and comprised of the mycelium when it is harvested. The mushroom growing process may vary from company to company and some may rush to harvest leaving more media in the end product. However, the mushrooms we provide for our customers are obtained from a small, dedicated company that is highly respected in the mushroom industry and which provides a high-quality mushroom product.
