I would also avoid unnecessary booster vaccines as they can aggravate this type of dermatitis as well as flea and tick chemicals that may be contributing to your cat's condition. I would also consider a healthier diet and we have some suggestions in our article How to Feed Your Cat. You can also try a cell salt that is a natural antihistamine called Nat Mur #9. Place 2 or 3 pellets in his water dish daily. If he doesn't drink much water you may have to use a dropper to get 1 pellet in him daily.
