There are no specific side effects of using the Nerve Tonic at the suggested serving on an older dog. Some herbal formulas like the Nerve Tonic may contain herbs in the formula that have the potential to interact with certain medications. If this is the case, this information is provided on the product page in the Instructions tab at the bottom under Contraindications. For example, dogs using certain antidepressant medications should not use the Nerve Tonic because the St. John's Wort herb in the formula can have a similar action and would cause too much of an increase in serotonin.
