The correct dosage for your dog will be 4 capsules two times daily. These capsules are placed in a little coconut oil, pumpkin or similar soft food and made into a small ball for your dog to swallow. Using a non-protein food source (not meat or yogurt in other words) to place the enzymes in is important so the proteases (protein digesting enzymes) in the enzyme formula are not used to digest the food. We want these proteases to enter the blood stream through the digestive tract to work their magic by digesting inflammatory proteins in the body. This is why systemic enzymes are given on an empty stomach first thing in the morning and last in the evening before bed, so they don't work to digest food (as digestive enzymes do) and instead enter the bloodstream.
