For those that don't know, hydrolyzed protein diets are specialty pet foods in which the protein source has been broken down into the tiniest possible particles. These diets are given to pet's with food allergies or gastrointestinal issues because it is believed that larger protein particle may be to blame for their symptoms. So, to answer your question, yes it is perfectly fine to give your cat the Digestive Enzyme and Probiotic formula. A potential issue will be mixing the enzymes in with a dry, kibble cat food - canned cat food would be much easier. For dogs mixing the digestive enzymes in with their food is much better accepted. I would encourage you to try to get your cat on a healthier diet as hydrolyzed diets are typically very poor source of protein and your cat will be affected by this as he ages. These digestive enzymes will help your cat better break down protein so perhaps by using this supplement you will be able to feed a healthier meat-based canned cat food in the future.
