I think I would prefer if you first bathed her with a gentle, chemical-free shampoo called MetaClean. Then mist her coat with our Topical Probiotic Spray to help bring balance back to the skin and out-compete yeast. Try to avoid spraying areas of broken/irritated skin until it starts to heal. Since issues with the skin begin on the inside of the body, a healthy homemade diet can really help address skin issues. By preparing your dog's food you can avoid the high amount of starches, that quickly turn to sugar, found in processed pet food diets that feed yeast in the body. We have an article called How to Feed Your Dog that can help you to properly create a diet for your dog. I would also consider avoiding unnecessary booster vaccines and titer testing instead, and avoiding chemicals like those found in flea and tick pesticide products as well to help bring your dog back to health.
