The Antiviral formula does contain herbs that promote immune system activity. However, it also contains antimicrobial herbs that you wouldn't necessarily want to provide to your dog or cat on a daily basis. To stimulate the immune system as a preventative I would consider an herb such as Echinacea Root that boosts the body's T-cell activity which is the immune system's first line of defense, or an adaptogenic herb like Astragalus Root which acts as a tonic by energizing the entire body and building immune strength. When using as a preventative provide an herbal remedy on a five day on and two day off schedule.
