Yes, the Hyperthyroid Tonic can be used along with medications used for a thyroid disorder. However, due to the fact that the herbal remedy duplicates the action of the medication, the dosage of the medication may have to be adjusted when using the Hyperthyroid Tonic. Any adjustments in the dosage of medications should be done in coordination with your veterinarian. As to your question whether or not the herbal remedy can be used in place of the medication, we can't say for sure, the only way to find out is to try to lower the dosage of the medication as you use the Hyperthyroid Tonic and see how your cat does.
