The Liver Tonic will support the liver's natural detoxification process to help keep this important organ healthy. Milk Thistle provides antioxidant protection for liver cells and also a flavonoid called silymarin that can help regenerate damaged liver cells. Under normal circumstances the Liver Tonic alone is sufficient to support liver health as it does contain milk thistle as part of its formula. Frequently though the liver needs additional help repairing itself so it is common for the Liver Tonic and Milk Thistle to be used together. The poor liver values can be related to your dog's potential cancer and are also a side-effect of some of the medications that you are using.
