My research indicates that Bovine Cartilage is comprised of approximately 5% glucosamine and 10% or more chondroitin. Equally as important is the type II collagen that supports articular cartilage that acts as the shock-absorber within joints. Try not to get too caught up in the figures used in studies with synthetic or manufactured substance, such as 1,500 mg of glucosamine per day etc... The most important thing is a whole food source that is safe, natural and bioavailable to the body and contains a broad spectrum of nutrients that work synergistically together. The Bovine Cartilage has all of those attributes and makes a good choice as a joint supplement.
