Yes, with continued use the Natural Tooth Powder can remove existing plaque and tartar. However, there are two caveats. The first is that when tarter forms below the gum line and pockets form, brushing alone may not be able to reach this tarter. Secondly, a healthy mouth has a LOT to do with diet. If you currently feed a dry, kibble diet, or similar diet, that is high in starches as most kibble diets are, you will continue to feed oral pathogenic bacteria and contribute to the formation of plaque and tartar.
