The amount of phosphorus in 1/2 tsp of our Elk Velvet Antler is negligible and will not have an impact on the phosphorus level in the diet of a dog with kidney disease. Artificial phosphates found in processed foods are the biggest concern because they are so highly absorbed by the body. Next would be animal products like meat and dairy which can form a considerable portion of an animal's diet. However, the amount of phosphorus found in a small serving size of a particular supplement is not a cause for concern.
