The primary substances in dairy that are an issue are lactose and casein protein. Both of these are removed in our Whey Protein Isolate (note: different from whey protein concentrate). It's not to say that an animal can not have an issue with whey protein, but it is not as likely. For example, I don't personally do well with dairy but I take quite a bit of whey protein isolate daily due to my workout routine. We use whey protein isolate because it is a natural source of the amino acid glutamine that has been shown to be important for cellular repair of the digestive tract. Most other supplements utilize manufactured glutamine in their formulas.
