Do I need the seaweed calcium supplement along with the elk antler or is there enough calcium in the elk antler?
Elk Velvet Antler for Dogs and Cats
I have my dog on the Multi Vitamin and the seaweed calcium. Wondering if I can move to the elk antler compound without the seaweed calcium. Thanks

Elk Velvet Antler contains calcium but not in a concentrated amount to fulfill the dietary needs of a canine. Because dogs and cats optimally will consume meat in their diets, they require a specific amount of calcium to offset the phosphorus in meat. This is called the calcium to phosphorus ratio and requires a calcium source be added to their diets to meet this ratio. Calcium from natural sources such as vegetables and elk antler etc... are fine but not concentrated enough to fulfill the calcium needs of canines and felines and for this you need bones or a calcium/mineral supplement.
