Yes, the Elk Velvet Antler with Glucosamine should be fine for your dog. With your dog's condition and limited diet you should add any new food or supplement slowly. Start with 1/4 the suggested serving and work up as your dog adjusts. Unfortunately, hydrolyzed foods will result in poor health as your dog ages - weak muscle and heart due to the low/poor quality protein. Prescription diets are formulated to address symptoms but not long term health.
