We would definitely recommend the Kidney Tonic to support the health of your 13 year old dog's kidneys. However, to more directly address the crystals we would suggest using the Antilithic formula until they are gone. For maintenance use the Kidney Tonic on a five days on two days off schedule and the Antilithic for about seven days or so once per month. Dogs, especially as they age, can benefit from a whole food diet, higher in moisture. Dry, kibble diets can lead to chronic dehydration and the formation of urinary crystals.
