Colostrum can certainly help to support an animal's immune system by nutritionally supporting the thymus gland. However, urinary tract infections can be more complicated. If you wanted to try Colostrum I would pair it with our UTI Relief formula. Once the current infection is cleared, if your pet has a history of urinary tract infections, I would consider using the UTI Relief for one week every month and the Colostrum continuously. The idea is to prevent urinary tract infections from occurring in the first place as they are much more difficult to get rid of once the infection is established. For established infections that have been present for a while often antibiotics may become necessary. Cats don't do well with dry, kibble diets. These diets are so dry that the urinary tract is in a chronic state of dehydration. Moisture-rich diets like raw food diets or quality meat-based (not lots of fish!) canned foods are best for cats. We provide some diet suggestions in our article How to Feed Your Cat.
