The problem with using a supplement like calcium citrate is that it doesn't provide all of the other minerals necessary for proper calcium metabolism like magnesium, potassium etc... I feel that the Seaweed Calcium would be a good choice for your dog as it has less phosphorus than bone which might be better for your dog with urinary crystals. Keep in mind that you only have to add calcium to home-prepared diets as commercial diets already include a calcium source. For a dog that produces crystals a wet, whole food diet that provides sufficient moisture is going to be best. I would also consider our Bladder Stone Supplement Package and then, once the crystals have resolved, using the Antilithic for one week every month to help keep the urinary tract clear.
