The Daily Multi Plus is our foundation supplement appropriate and recommended for dogs and cats of all ages. It does not replace other concentrated nutritional supplement like kelp or multivitamins. However, please keep in mind that kelp is high in iodine and should not be fed daily especially in large amounts and used with caution in cats (due to their potential for hyperthyroidism). We provide an educational article on Kelp for Dogs and Cats for you to read. Please also keep in mind that concentrated manufactured vitamin supplements are already included in processed pet food diets so adding additional supplementation will likely being overkill and not good for your pet. If you are feeding a Home-Prepared Diet then your dog or cat is in all likelihood getting all the nutrition they need from a properly formulated diet. Focus on Whole Food Nutrition, not manufactured vitamin supplements, unless there is a known deficiency that needs to be resolved.
