Yes, our Gum Rescue is fine to use along with the medication Apoquel®. Since periodontal disease is often related to an imbalance of bacteria in the mouth, we often recommend to also include our Daily Oral Care to provide beneficial oral bacteria. Diet plays a large role in gum health as the high amount of carbohydrates in commercial pet foods feed oral pathogenic bacteria and contribute to gum disease. By providing a healthy, whole food diet you can limit the amount of carbohydrates and improve your dog's health and we offer suggestions in our article How to Feed Your Dog.
