Yes, our Seaweed Calcium would be safe for your dog with Hypothyroidism to take. It is recommended that a dog should have approximately 0.7 milligrams of iodine per pound of dog food. 0.7 milligrams would translate to 700 micrograms. My calculations equated 30 micrograms of iodine per tsp of Seaweed Calcium alone, keeping in mind this tsp dose would be per pound of home prepared food.
