If these lumps are in fact fatty lipomas, then I can make a few suggestions for you. Fatty lipomas often are a result of a diet that contains excess carbohydrates, poor quality fats etc... Often poor digestion, as you mentioned, can play a role as byproducts of poor digestion and elimination can accumulate in tissue. To improve your dog's digestion provide our Daily Multi Plus and our Liver Tonic. We have found that our Systemic Enzymes can help dissolve these fatty tumors over time, although older ones do seem to be harder to eliminate as the body seals them off making them more difficult to get rid. For a senior dog we recommend that you start slowly with one supplement at a time to give your dog time to adjust. Lastly, since poor diet plays a role in the formation of these lipomas, a natural diet consisting of real, whole foods would be a good idea. I understand that your dog is older and diet change may be more difficult. However, there are some premixes to which you add your own meat that may be a good choice. We offer some diet suggestions in our article How to Feed Your Dog.
