Since Prozac® can increase serotonin levels in the brain, it is not appropriate to use our Nerve Tonic with this medication. Instead, you may use the other recommendations we have for your dog's condition that can be found on our Laryngeal Paralysis in Dogs protocol page. One thing I feel that you should address with your veterinarian is that the medication Prozac® can interfere with the activity of the smooth muscles involved with breathing. Obviously this is not good for a dog that already has trouble breathing at times. Discuss this with your veterinarian and perhaps he will agree that this medication may not be a good idea for your dog and in that case you may then use the Nerve Tonic along with the other supplements we recommend.
