Skin tags are generally not considered to be a viral infection although there is a potential link with human papilloma virus (HPV). If this was a wart issue then the Antiviral formula would be more appropriate used both internally and applied to the wart itself. More often skin tags are considered to be caused by excess weight and related friction on skin/skin folds. In addition, hormonal imbalances, and insulin resistance that can lead to type II diabetes, are also potential causes. To address this issue, I would consider a healthy, homemade diet or a prepared whole food diet and we offer some suggestions in our article How to Feed Your Dog (use the article How to Feed Your Cat if this is a feline issue). A healthier diet will help to address any excess weight and blood sugar issues (most commercial pet foods are high in carbohydrates that can increase blood sugar). Consider the Daily Multi Plus to support your pet in better digesting his food more thoroughly. To further help with any endocrine issues, and overall vitality, you may also consider the Biopreparation F3 supplement.
