We generally use glycerin for our tinctures as it is less aversive to pets and far more appealing with a naturally sweet taste. Our Herbal Protection Drops formula is the only tincture we offer where we use alcohol as a solvent. This formula is more geared towards supporting the body's natural protections against ticks who are far more resilient than common biting insects and have tough exoskeletons making them far more resistant to danger or repelling methods. In fact, even chemical flea and tick control products containing neurotoxins are not 100% successful in repelling or killing ticks. The purpose of our Herbal Protection Drops is to support the body's immune system's response in the event of transmission, in turn working to decrease the likelihood of an animal becoming symptomatic or ill. To help facilitate the positive impact of this tincture while maximizing efficacy as much as possible, we use alcohol. As for how much alcohol is in 1 millileter (one dropper full), it would be 0.3 mL.
