Yes, our Ox Bile will be safe to use alongside the Ursodiol®. I would also suggest using our Liver Tonic to help promote the function of the liver and gallbladder and this will help to promote the elimination of the sludge. Since both her liver and pancreas appear to need help, I would suggest our Daily Multi Plus that contains digestive enzymes to support proper digestion. Your idea for a healthier diet for your dog is a good one and we provide some suggestions in our article How to Feed Your Dog. Lastly, I would like to mention two instances in which using the Ox Bile or Liver Tonic would not be recommended and both of these center around the obstruction of bile flow. 1). If a dog is ever diagnosed with cholestatic liver disease (cholestasis) in which bile flow is obstructed, 2). and/or there are signs of obstruction of bile flow such as jaundice, light-colored stools or dark colored urine. This is because Ox Bile and Liver Tonic can promote the flow of bile and if there is a blockage the use of these supplements would be inappropriate.
